Preheating

  • Put a catch cup under the brewhead
  • Lower handle almost to the bottom
  • Fill the chamber and pause for a moment
  • Lower the handle all the way to drain
  • Do this only once for dark roasts
  • Twice for mediums
  • Three times for lights

Seal Swap

  • Partially loosen, then tighten the tube.
  • Remove current seal.
  • Apply Molykote 111 to the new seal
  • Grease the seal any time you swap sizes

Pulling a Shot

  • Lock the portafilter in place
  • Raise handle until the magnets catch
  • Fill chamber with boiling water
  • Pull shot per your profile recipe
  • Purge excess water into catch cup

O-Ring Replacement

  • If piston or gauge is leaking, unscrew the component
  • Inspect o-rings for damage
  • If damaged: grease and install new
  • If dirty: clean, regrease, reinstall
  • Reassemble
